Recently we obtained the pre-order prices of the all-new generation BYD Tang from industry sources. For now dealers are only taking orders for two rear-wheel-drive versions: the 850 km rear-wheel-drive Laser Premium at RMB 225,000 and the 850 km rear-wheel-drive Laser Flagship at RMB 240,000. Four-wheel drive models are not yet available for purchase. Combining previous reports, the new model is expected to be launched within the fourth quarter. As a recap, the exterior of the all-new BYD Tang draws on the design language of the flagship Grand Han (Datang). The front grille features a closed design, paired with a pair of upward-curved headlights and a central chrome strip, giving it a visually striking and stylish appearance. In terms of dimensions, its length, width, and height are 5045/1980/1760mm, with a wheelbase of 2950mm. At the rear it adopts full-width taillights with the BYD logo set in the centre, topped by a large spoiler that enriches the visual layering. Body colours include Singing Sand Gold, Thousand Peaks Green, Deep Ocean Blue and Panshi Grey, along with two-tone finishes. The interior design draws inspiration from a spaceship's control panel, offering two color schemes: Sand Dune Beige and Danxia Orange. Inside, it uses an integrated curved-screen layout with a narrow full-LCD strip above the centre screen carrying multimedia, weather, inclinometer and gear-position readouts. Notably, once removed, the front headrests can combine with the rear seat cushions to form a bed mode, catering to different passenger needs. In terms of power, single-motor models have a maximum power output of 300 kilowatts. They come with 88.682kWh and 105.792kWh battery packs, providing a range of 730km, 830km, and 850km under CLTC standards. Additionally, it comes standard with God's Eye B and the DiSus-A intelligent air body control system, featuring dual-chamber air suspension and intelligent road preview functions, capable of quickly responding to changes in road conditions. For more information on the new model, we will continue to follow the story. (Text by Autohome Guo Chen)
