BYD and Sinopec Sign Strategic Cooperation Sinopec's First BYD Flash Charging Station Has Been Completed

On June 3, BYD and Sinopec officially signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement. The two sides will carry out industrial and capital cooperation around the charging network, the owner ecology and the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain. The first is to achieve interoperability in the field of charging network construction and promote the construction and operation of flash charging stations; the second is to create an integrated ecosystem of "energy supply + automobile service", explore cooperation in automotive aftermarket services, optical storage and charging inspection, and actively explore cooperation in membership systems, user insights, data empowerment, etc.; the third is to carry out cooperation upstream and downstream in the industrial chain of automobiles and battery materials, refined oil, energy storage, automotive supplies, material collection and acquisition, data intelligence, etc. At present, BYD has built more than 6,100 flash charging stations. It is expected that 20,000 flash charging stations will be completed by the end of this year, and 90% of the areas in the city will have flash charging stations within 5km. The flash charging stations cover 1/3 of the high-speed service area, and the maximum output power of the charging pile will reach 1500 kilowatts. Sinopec has built more than 30,000 comprehensive energy stations and more than 14,000 charging and replacing stations. This strong alliance will accelerate the full implementation of the "flash top-up China" strategy.
