The all-new BMW X6 is set to launch its first pure electric version, the iX6, in April 2028.

According to relevant sources, BMW is expected to begin production of the all-new sixth-generation X6 (chassis code G66) in April 2028. This launch will introduce the pure electric iX6 (chassis code G96) for the first time, as well as the new generation high-performance X6 M model. The new model is expected to continue production at the BMW Group's Spartanburg plant in the United States. It will be built on an upgraded CLAR platform that incorporates next-generation platform technologies. For reference, the current 2026 BMW X6 lineup consists of three models priced between 648,000 and 808,000 RMB, while the X6 M is priced at 1,468,900 RMB. It is understood that the new generation lineup is expected to include three gasoline models (including M Performance variants), one diesel model, and three pure electric models (including M Performance variants): X6 30 xDrive, X6 40 xDrive, X6 40d xDrive, X6 M60 xDrive; iX6 50 xDrive, iX6 60 xDrive, and iX6 M70 xDrive.
