The power smoothness is the core advantage of the Li i-HEV, which is equipped with a hybrid system consisting of a 1.5T engine, a 238 horsepower motor and a first gear DHT gearbox. Its technical route is similar to that of the Toyota ths hybrid (such as Lei Ling, Corolla twin engines), but the power parameters are more radical. With an official WLTC 100km combined fuel consumption of 4.75 L, the system is impressively mature in actual driving. The most intuitive feelings come from the beginning. Unlike the frequent intervention of engines due to battery capacity limitations in some plug-in hybrid models, the electric energy reserve strategy of Celestial Li-HEV is very robust. In low-speed and high-load scenarios such as driving out of the park and climbing up the underground garage, even if you step on the throttle deeply, the engine will not start rashly, and the vehicle is completely driven in pure electric mode. At this time, you can hardly hear any noise when you close the window, and the starting texture is no different from that of a pure electric vehicle. When sharp acceleration is required after the speed increase, the electric motor is still the main power output - 238 horsepower maximum power and ample torque reserve, which is enough to cover most of the medium and low acceleration requirements. It is commendable that although the structure of the first gear DHT gearbox is simple, the connection logic between the engine, the motor and the gearbox is extremely delicate: the vibration at the start of the engine is controlled at a very low level, and the power transmission has almost no sense of fault. Without careful attention, it is difficult to detect the moment when the power source is switched. Of course, if the ultimate quietness is pursued, the slight noise of the engine intervention can still be perceived, but this has not affected the overall power texture, which is completely acceptable for daily home use. In the setting of light and precise steering adjustment and steering feel, the Starry Cross Li-HEV takes a "lightweight" route, but it is by no means "nothing". When moving at low speeds, the lightweight steering force makes the operation of this compact SUV extremely easy. Even female drivers with less power can complete the turnaround operation with one hand. In the high-speed cruising state of 70-80 kilometers, the steering damping will increase linearly with the speed. Although it does not meet the "calm" standard of sports vehicles, it does not appear that the body stability is still guaranteed. Although the manufacturer claims that it retains accuracy, from an objective experience, this "light" is more to reduce driving fatigue than to increase the control limit. Thanks to the lightweight design of the hybrid system, the kerb mass of the car is only 1.7 tons, and the load is not significantly increased due to the addition of batteries and motors, so the chassis does not have the "bulky feeling" common in some hybrid models. In actual driving, the sense of unity of the chassis is very prominent: when passing through the bumpy road surface, the suspension filter for vibration is crisp and clear, without loose aftershocks; when passing through high-speed bending, the lateral support force is sufficient, the body posture is properly controlled, and there is no obvious rollover. The overall adjustment style is biased towards comfort but not loss of toughness, and it is at the upper level in the same class of models, which not only meets the comfort requirements of family users, but also retains a certain degree of driving pleasure.
