All-New BYD Tang to Debut Giant-Screen UI Interaction System, Launching Within Q4
Following the release of the official interior images for the newly revised BYD Tang (officially referred to as the third-generation Tang), the brand has recently announced that the vehicle will debut with a new giant-screen UI interaction system.
Combining previous reports, the new model will be positioned as a large five-seat tech-flagship SUV, forming a dual-flagship SUV lineup together with the Tang L. It is planned to hit the market within the fourth quarter.
In detail, the new giant-screen UI interaction system features a flexible desktop, allowing all function windows to be rearranged at will, and the size can be adjusted according to personal preference. It also comes with an AI pet desktop (officially named Xiao Bai), capable of seeing, hearing, greeting, being affectionate, and being cute, responding to calls.
Previously, the new generation of Tang was reported to feature a one-piece dashboard design, with a long strip of full-color LCD screen below the windscreen, integrating multimedia, weather, level, and gear mode information. The interior offers two color schemes: sandy dune beige and amber brown.
Looking at the exterior of the new model, it largely draws on the design of the Tang. The front grille is in a closed-off style, paired with a pair of upwardly arched headlights and a central chrome strip, providing a grand and fashionable visual impression.
In terms of dimensions, its length, width, height, and wheelbase are 5045/1980/1760mm and 2950mm, respectively, with wheelbase and height being consistent with the Tang L. The only difference is that the width and wheelbase are slightly smaller.
Regarding the powertrain, only a single-motor model is currently listed for the vehicle, with a maximum power output of 300 kilowatts. It will be equipped with battery packs of 88.682 kWh and 105.792 kWh, offering pure electric ranges of 730 km, 830 km, and 850 km under the CLTC standard.
Additionally, the vehicle will be standard with God's Eye B, and it is expected to be equipped with the DiSus-A intelligent air body control system, featuring dual-chamber air suspension and intelligent road preview functions.
