At the 2026 Paris Motor Show, the Alfa Romeo Cuore Rosso concept car was officially unveiled, its name composed of two Italian words: Cuore (Heart) and Rosso (Red). This concept car previews the brand's future new-electric design language, rather than a direct preview of a production vehicle. This new design language will also be applied to subsequent Alfa Romeo products, including pure electric, plug-in hybrid, mild hybrid, and hybrid models, and will continue to feature the Quadrifoglio version. The car was designed by Alfa Romeo's design center in Turin, with red, Italian, and sport as its starting points, interpreting these dimensions through shape, proportion, materials, color, and design solutions. The front remains the classic design of Alfa Romeo, with a shield grille featuring a backlight LED matrix that creates a heartbeat-like pulsating light effect. The front fender lines are inspired by the wake of a ship moving on water, elegant yet powerful. The concept car measures 4700/1980/1331mm in length, width, and height, respectively, with a wheelbase of 2930mm, and a curb weight of 1750kg. It features lines similar to a wedge-shaped body, with significant attention paid to aerodynamic design, including numerous ventilation ports, hidden door handles, and electronic rearview mirrors, as well as ground effect design on the underside of the car. This results in a drag coefficient of just 0.28. As a concept car, it features a two-door design, showcasing futurism. Its paint color is the new Liquid Ink Red, giving it a red appearance from the front, which changes to black as the viewing angle changes. The rear is short and features twin exhaust pipes, a design style that continues from the 33 Stradale. Upon opening the door, the concept car's interior design continues to follow the philosophy of putting the driver at the center. The steering wheel design resembles a Formula One race car, which, combined with the interior red ambient lighting, can quickly stimulate the driver's adrenaline. The electronic LCD instrument panel can switch between dual-dial and single-dial physical forms, helping drivers maintain focus during intense driving. The interior features a 2+2 seat layout, with bucket seats. In terms of power, Alfa Romeo's future will cover four powertrain forms: pure electric, plug-in hybrid, mild hybrid, and full hybrid. It will also retain the Quadrifoglio version. V6 hybrid is an important part of this. Additionally, the vehicle will offer Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, air suspension, steer-by-wire, and carbon fiber transmission shafts, among other features. (Translation by Gucheng from AutoHome).
