Yangwang has released a teaser for its executive flagship sedan and confirmed the car's official name: Dingyao. The model will make its global debut in the United Arab Emirates in November. It is expected to measure around 5.5 metres in length and to be priced at over RMB 2 million, and it will be the first to carry new technologies such as BYD's solid-state battery. The teaser image shows a two-tone body, with a white line running from the front hood all the way over the roof - a line that is expected to continue to the rear of the car. With the image exposure pushed up, it becomes clear that the car uses rear-hinged suicide doors, "disc-style" wheels, a short front overhang and a long rear overhang, along with a lengthy L113 dimension. At the rear, it gets twin-line taillights. Combined with earlier spy shots, the front end is expected to carry over the "Ding" family design: a rectangular grille with the brand logo set into its centre, split headlights on either side, and a watchtower-style LiDAR on the roof, with sensor hardware likely integrated into the front fenders as well. The car will also be the first to feature BYD's solid-state battery and will support flash charging. We will continue to follow this model for further information. (Text by Autohome, Guo Chen)
