Outside, the MONA L05 uses a low, wide body with full, dynamic surfaces. It carries the family design language, with MONA-series starship headlights, an AGS active grille in the centre of the front bumper and a 102L front trunk as standard.
Dimensions are 4870/1930/1636mm with a 2940mm wheelbase. The car has frameless doors and a hidden waterline along the lower edge of the side glass, and offers 18-inch low-drag wheels or 20-inch five-spoke sports wheels, the latter with yellow caliper covers.
At the rear there is a full-width ring-shaped light bar built from at least 300 laser-engraved LED light sources.
Boot capacity is 702L, expanding to 1,913L with the rear seats folded.
Six paint colours are available: Crescent Silver, Roland Purple, Micro-Moon Grey, Nebula White, Crystal Black and Fairy Green. There is also a ROAM theme pack with exclusive exterior and interior colours and bespoke detailing.
Inside, two colourways are offered, Deep Space Grey and Airy Grey. The cabin uses a wraparound cockpit design with a two-tier floating dashboard, hidden electric air vents and 256-colour cascading ambient lighting, along with 74% soft-touch materials and a velvet headliner.
The centre console carries a 17.3-inch display and a 26.8-inch W-HUD, and the steering wheel has a two-spoke design. The XOS cockpit system runs the Master Agent assistant with four-zone voice control and the Yuguang UI language, paired with a 20-speaker AI audio system. The centre tunnel integrates a wireless charging pad, and the cabin provides 22 expansion ports for accessories such as action cameras.
The front seats offer legrest and lumbar adjustment plus ventilation, heating and massage, and the passenger seat has a one-tap zero-gravity mode. The rear bench is heated, with an adjustable backrest and individual headrests, and ISOFIX child-seat anchors are provided. The roof carries a two-piece panoramic glass panel, and the rear row gets privacy glass, a Type-C port, a table and the 17.3-inch entertainment screen, with a 10L drawer beneath the seat cushion.
For driver assistance the car uses XPeng's NGP Turing AI system, with the top trims carrying two Turing AI chips for a peak 1,500 TOPS. They support park-to-park assistance and map-free roaming.
Two powertrains are offered. The EV uses a single motor with a maximum 183kW, CLTC ranges of 535km and 635km, a best-case consumption of 12.2kWh/100km, a 10-80% charge in 19.1 minutes and a best 0-100km/h time of 6.8 seconds. The range extender pairs a 1.5L generator with 183kW of system output for 0-100km/h in 6.8 seconds, 310km of CLTC electric range and 1,310km combined, with WLTC fuel consumption of 5.26L/100km once the battery is depleted and a 10-80% charge in 14.7 minutes.
The chassis uses MacPherson struts at the front and a multi-link independent rear, with DCC intelligent variable damping and AI chassis road preview.
Editor's note: the MONA L05 does not cut corners on safety either. It offers driver-incapacity assistance that can pull the car over automatically and call for help, stable deceleration after a blowout at up to 180km/h, and AES emergency steering avoidance - equipment normally found on cars a class above. Based on XPeng's NGP Turing AI assistance, the XOS cockpit with the Master Agent assistant and the 17.3-inch rear screen, it delivers class-leading intelligence along with a comfortable cabin. And with both range-extended and pure-electric options, it offers longer range than before.
