2026 Paris Motor Show: Li Auto i6 Delivers to Norway and the Netherlands First in Europe
October 12, the 2026 Paris Motor Show kicked off, with the pure-electric mid-size SUV i6 from Li Auto making its European debut. The new car was named Li 6 in the overseas market.
In terms of its overseas rollout plans, Li Auto will officially enter the European market in the first quarter of 2027, with the Li 6 launching and going into delivery in Norway and the Netherlands first. It will then gradually expand to other European countries.
At the same time, Li Auto emphasized that it plans to introduce plug-in hybrid models in Europe and will conduct deep localizations in both hardware and software to provide users with more choices.
Li Xiang, Chairman and CEO of Li Auto, said that Li Auto’s connection with Paris is deeper than many people think.
Back in 2015, when Li Auto was still known as "Car and Home," its first product, SEV, was designed with the L6e standard for Europe in mind from the very beginning. At that time, it also announced plans for shared mobility in Paris and San Francisco.
Ten years later, Li Auto is bringing a product that is better prepared for the European market.
On October 12, Li Xiang responded to "Li Auto’s slow overseas expansion" and stated that Li Auto will continue to tailor its products to different markets and will only launch products that are ready for the market.
As of now, the company established its first overseas R&D center in Munich in January 2021.
In July this year, Li Auto launched the Li Auto L9 in Central Asia, where it is widely recognized for its lack of charging infrastructure.
According to Li Auto’s official introduction, the i6 has cumulatively delivered over 190,000 units in China in the first year of its release, ranking among the top three in terms of pure electric vehicle sales in the 200,000 yuan and above segment for eight consecutive months.
Considering the European cities with narrow streets, tight parking spaces, and the commonality of cross-border driving, the Li i6 is designed to offer more flexible body shapes, comfortable spaces, and intelligent experiences to suit European family travel needs.
