On June 26 (this Friday), Beijing will carry out the first general passenger car index configuration this year. According to this year's annual indicator quota, 10,000 fuel vehicle indicators will be allocated in this period. In 2026, the quota for ordinary passenger cars (fuel vehicles) will be 20,000, of which 19,200 are household and individual indicators, and 800 are unit indicators. According to the index configuration arrangement, the general passenger car index was configured in two phases on June 26 and December 26, with 10,000 units per phase. Compared with the policy in 2025, the total number of routinely allocated minibuses will remain unchanged in 2026, including 20,000 general indicators and 80,000 new energy indicators. The target ratio of new energy indicators will be slightly adjusted, reducing the operating indicators and increasing the indicators of households/individuals/units. The number of new energy minibuses issued in 2026 will be 80,000, which is a significant increase compared with 40,000 in 2025, and the investment in new energy vehicles will be further increased.
