To sum it up in vernacular: Want small size and long range? That car could hardly pull people or goods. Want small size and high load? Then the motor will have to turn around, the power consumption is frighteningly high, and the power will be lost in a few minutes. Want long range + high load? Then you have to make the car as big as a helicopter or even a small plane to support this weight and battery pack. Then when you finally produce energy, you have to build channels for delivery, and you have to consider that your maintenance system is unreliable. At the same time, you have to apply for a flight permit. Even if you get a flight permit, you still need to report and so on for each flight. The reason why the UAE is willing to spend money on flying cars is that the UAE is currently the most cold, with hundreds of orders, and the amount is just hundreds of millions of dollars. So why is the UAE shedding so much money? The most important thing is that the UAE is really good, with millions of planes at every turn. Ordinary people really can't afford to consume them, but the wealthy people in the UAE, who spend millions of dollars to buy a toy, don't talk about it at all. And the UAE, Abu Dhabi, Ain, these three cities have high population density, resulting in high traffic pressure, so this flying car in the UAE, there is a real market. More importantly, regulation - the UAE Civil Aviation Authority has taken the initiative to include eVTOL in the "2030 Intelligent Autonomous Transport Strategy", with the goal of achieving autonomy for one-quarter of travel by 2030, so their support for eVTOL is also very strong. Coupled with the extreme high temperature and sand and dust environment in the Middle East, it has become a natural reliability test site. The models that can run through here are easier to reverse airworthiness certification in Europe and the United States. So you see, this spending power, demand, regulation, environment, all four cards are all together, which is simply the cradle of natural airplane and automobile commercial verification. Making eVTOL also depends on China, but the problem is that the manufacturing industry in the UAE is not developed, and to make aircraft, it also depends on the industrial Cthulhu, that is, our China. The biggest advantage of eVTOL made in China is that electric vehicles sell best in the world. Over the years, it has also piled up the entire industrial chain of motors, electric controls, and batteries. The production capacity and cost advantages of these core links have been directly copied to flying cars. Others are still starting from the zero-strike thing, the Chinese side, which is equivalent to standing on a ready-made, the most mature supply chain in the world. It is said that about 70% of the supply chain of this electric vehicle can be copied to eVTOL. The electric propulsion unit is the "heart" of the aircraft, that is, power supply, power distribution, propulsion, the three most important things of the aircraft, it is all covered. The heart is producing energy, which means that it is one step closer to the mass production of flying cars.
