Tesla Model S and Model X production line retrofitted to produce humanoid robots

Recently, the last Tesla Model S (parameter | inquiry) and Model X have been officially launched at the Fremont factory. The Model S was released in 2012 and is the second model released by Tesla. The Model X was released in 2015 and is the third model. The two models are one of Tesla's iconic models that are reaching the public's horizons. Both overseas and domestic, they have been sought after by many celebrities. After the Model S and Model X are discontinued, production capacity will be given to Optimus (Optimus) humanoid robots, and mass production plans will officially start in the second quarter of this year, with an annual production capacity of 1 million units. Shanghai Gigafactory has invested 50 Optimus Gen-3 humanoid robots for automotive assembly workshop operations, undertaking processes such as seat installation, interior assembly, parts handling and quality inspection, accumulating practical experience for large-scale deployment worldwide. As Tesla's first mass-produced humanoid robot, the Optimus Gen-3 has a height of 173cm, a weight of 57kg, a walking speed of 1.2m/s (about 3.5km/h), a maximum load of 20kg, and is suitable for all factory scenarios. In terms of endurance, it is equipped with a 2.3kWh 4680 battery, which supports 10 hours of continuous operation, 10 minutes of fast charging can meet all-day operation, and the self-charging function can achieve 24-hour uninterrupted work.
