On April 17, the Zeekr 8X (Specs | Inquiry) was officially launched. The new model offers four variants, priced at 356,800–500,800 RMB, with a limited-time launch offer price of 329,800–473,800 RMB. The benefits include a 10,000 RMB trade-in subsidy, 5,000 RMB insurance subsidy, and 12,000 RMB purchase tax subsidy.
Built on the SEA-S Super E-PHEV Architecture and featuring a 900V high-voltage platform, the Zeekr 8X is positioned as a mid-to-large plug-in hybrid SUV. It boasts a maximum CLTC pure electric range of 410 km, supports 6C charging rate, and the flagship variant is equipped with a tri-motor 1MW electric drive system. It is also the first model to feature the G-ASD 4.0 advanced driver-assistance system.
Vehicle Highlights
Exterior: Highly recognizable design, exclusive for performance models
In terms of exterior design, the Zeekr 8X shares a similar design philosophy with the Zeekr 9X. It features an integrated vertical-slat grille with a large chrome finish for a commanding presence, paired with an active grille shutter. The split-type SEA Star Diamond matrix headlights and Light Language intelligent high-definition projection headlights support interactive light animations, and a lidar is mounted on the roof.
In terms of dimensions, the Zeekr 8X measures 5100 × 1998 × 1780 mm (5108 × 2026 × 1780 mm for the Yaoying edition), with a wheelbase of 3069 mm, positioning it as a mid-to-large SUV. The overall styling is steady yet muscular, blending dynamic design elements. It is equipped with electric suction doors, door handles that support both mechanical and electric operation, and an electric side step.
At the rear, dual C-shaped through-type taillights with the Zeekr lettering in the center are complemented by a roof spoiler and a chrome-accented diffuser. The vehicle is painted with pearlescent finish and available in five exterior colors: Cloud Amber Red, Lunar Sea Gray, Basalt Gray, Extreme Night Black, and Extreme Day White. In addition, a Yaoye Package is offered, which replaces chrome trims with an all-black design.
The Yaoying edition features an exclusive Yaoying grille, carbon fiber aerodynamic kit, 22-inch Lingbo forged wheels, Brembo six-piston calipers, active rear spoiler, rear diffuser, and 315mm wide tires. It also offers exclusive matte finishes: Star Gray, Hunting Sky Blue, and Extreme Night Black.
Interior: Luxurious ambience, rear 5D cinema experience
The interior is available in four color schemes: Crimson Shadow Red, Pure Black, White-Black, and Brown-Black. It features Nappa leather seats, suede headliner, and Nordic natural wood trim. The cabin adopts a wrap-around layout, equipped with a 16-inch 3.5K OLED central control screen and a 44-inch AR-HUD. It is powered by dual 8295 intelligent cockpit chips, matched with a 29-speaker Naim premium audio system (including headrest speakers), with a peak power of 3868W and 7.1.4.8 Dolby Atmos sound. Physical buttons on the center console enhance the premium tactile experience.
The vehicle comes standard with a 5-seat layout, with a 6-seat option available. The driver’s seat features active side bolsters. Both front and rear seats are equipped with heating, ventilation, memory, and massage functions. The right rear seat offers an Eames-style lounge chair with a 137° adjustable angle and a 673mm electric footrest. The rear cabin provides a 5D cinema experience, including a 17-inch 3K OLED overhead screen, synchronized vibration, ambient lighting, fragrance system, intelligent air vents, and surround sound. Other amenities include a car cooler/warmer box, electric sunshades, 50 storage spaces, a 1133L trunk volume, and a maximum expanded capacity of 2200L. The Yaoying edition features an exclusive black-orange interior with Alcantara/Nappa leather upholstery, integrated sports seats, and carbon fiber trim.
Advanced Driver-Assistance: Fully equipped hardware
The new vehicle is equipped with the Qianli Haohan G-ASD 4.0 advanced driver-assistance system, featuring 5 lidars, dual Thor-U chips with 1400TOPS computing power. It supports both the Qianli Haohan H7 (D2D parking-to-parking navigation assist) and H9 systems (H9 adds an end-to-end security adversarial model and AI-supervised AI). With the VLA in-vehicle vision large model, it enables map-free campus cruising, gesture summon, and voice control.
Powertrain: 900V high-voltage architecture + 6C charging
The Zeekr 8X uses a 900V high-voltage platform paired with a 2.0T plug-in hybrid system. The engine delivers a maximum power of 205 kW. The dual-motor version has a combined output of 660 kW, accelerating from 0–100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, 0–200 km/h in 12.17 seconds, and 0–100 km/h in 3.9 seconds in battery-depleted mode.The Yaoying edition uses a tri-motor system with 1030 kW combined output, sprinting 0–100 km/h in just 2.96 seconds.
CLTC pure electric range is rated at 320 km, 410 km, 318 km, and 330 km (Yaoying). With 6C charging, it charges from 20% to 80% in 9 minutes. WLTC fuel consumption in battery-depleted mode is 6.43 L/100km, 6.45 L/100km, and 6.49 L/100km. Maximum CLTC combined range reaches 1416 km.
The vehicle also features the SEA AI digital chassis, including closed dual-chamber air suspension, dual-valve CDC electromagnetic dampers, and 48V active anti-roll bars. It offers 13 all-terrain driving modes, an infrared night vision system, and a maximum wading depth of 500 mm.
