Recently, a test mule for the high-performance version of the Aston Martin Vantage has been spotted at the Nürburgring circuit. Its distinctive eight-outlet exhaust layout serves as the most recognizable feature. Combined with track-focused aerodynamic revisions, this suggests a flagship variant built primarily for circuit performance. The model may be named Vantage RS / AMR and is expected to adopt technology from the brand’s GT4 race car. It is slated for launch within the next two years, most likely as a limited-edition model.

The test vehicle is a development mule, retaining the front and rear bumpers of the standard Vantage, but with notable detail upgrades. It features a more prominent front splitter, a fixed rear spoiler, paired with 21-inch forged alloy wheels from the Vantage S, drilled brake discs, and green brake calipers — emphasizing its track-oriented character.
Notably, only the four central pipes among the eight are functional (already discolored from use), while the remaining four are decorative for the prototype phase. The production version is expected to use a central quad-exhaust setup.
In terms of powertrain, the new model is expected to retain the 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8 engine supplied by AMG. The current standard Vantage produces 489 kW, while the Vantage S delivers 500 kW, leaving significant room for further performance tuning.
Additionally, the car is expected to be developed by the AMR division, which is responsible for the brand’s GT3/GT4 race cars, with a track-specific suspension setup to further enhance handling performance.
