Honda 0 Alpha to Be Unveiled on December 2, Keeping Its Distinctive Look
Honda 0 Alpha is set to be unveiled on December 2nd, targeting the Indian and Japanese markets. Previously, Honda suspended the AFEELA 1 project, which was jointly developed with Sony, due to changes in its electric vehicle strategy. The company also halted the launch of the 0 series cars, SUVs, and Acura RSX for the US market.
Only prototype photos with camouflage have been made public so far. The new vehicle carries forward the futuristic design of the concept car, featuring new-style LED headlights embedded in the closed grille, a rugged front and rear bumpers, and a protective skirt on the wheel arches. The rear lights are in a U-shape, with the C pillar seamlessly connecting the outward flared rear wheel arches. The cabin adopts a minimalist design, with a large central touchscreen, a full LCD instrument panel, and a sporty, three-spoke steering wheel. The air conditioning controls are independently placed on the center console.
The Honda 0 Alpha is based on a dedicated electric platform, following Honda’s "light, thin, smart" development philosophy. It prioritizes refined design and spacious interiors, with comfort for passengers as a top priority.
In terms of powertrain, it is expected to feature a front-wheel drive single-motor layout, with two lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery packs. According to speculation, the highest CLTC range for the premium version could reach up to 500 kilometers.
