Leapmotor Up 51%, Xiaomi and XPeng Both Top 50,000 - October Sales Report of China's NEV Startup Brands
On November 1, the major NEV startup brands and the new-energy units of traditional automakers officially released their October sales and delivery figures.
Leaving behind the traditional Golden September sales peak, China's NEV market entered the closing stretch of "Silver October". Combined with the concentrated buying rush of the National Day Golden Week holiday, overall market heat continued and demand was released in an orderly way. Compared with the low season the market clearly recovered, but brand performance diverged sharply, reflecting differences in product line-ups, pricing strategies and launch rhythms.
Notably, Xiaomi Auto's monthly sales exceeded 50,000 units for the first time, and XPeng also reached 50,237 units.
Below are the official sales figures and market readings for HIMA, Leapmotor, Li Auto, Zeekr, NIO, Xiaomi Auto, XPeng, Changan Qiyuan, Yipai Technology, Huajing Auto, Voyah and other brands (data as of 20:30 on November 1, 2026).
Judging by October deliveries, many mainstream NEV brands held deliveries above the 20,000-unit level, and the 30,000-40,000 unit band remained crowded and fiercely competitive.
Leapmotor stood out most: it delivered 106,127 units globally in October, up 51% year-on-year and its fourth consecutive month above the 100,000 mark, opening a clear gap over the rest of the table. Li Auto delivered 29,025 units, firmly in the 20,000+ tier, and Voyah delivered 13,030 units, continuing its steady progress.
HIMA delivered 33,537 units in October, down about 10.5% month-on-month, likely a lingering effect of the cooperation-model adjustment announced in mid-September, under which the AITO brand was handed to Seres to lead product definition, marketing and channel services while Huawei's device unit shifted to an enabling role; the handover continued to disturb October's delivery rhythm.
On the other side, Changan Qiyuan, Fangchengbao, XPeng and Xiaomi all cleared the 40,000 threshold: XPeng Group delivered 50,237 new cars in October, up 22% month-on-month and 20% year-on-year; Xiaomi Auto delivered over 50,000 units; Changan Qiyuan's global sales reached 63,648 units, up 22.24% month-on-month, climbing into the 60,000+ range; Fangchengbao sold 43,872 units, holding the 40,000+ tier.
By year-on-year growth, official data show Leapmotor up 51%, Zeekr up 51.6%, XPeng up 20% and Arcfox up 12.56%.
NIO delivered 34,246 new cars in October: 18,125 NIO-branded, 8,383 Onvo and 7,738 firefly, with the multi-brand matrix driving volume together.
The new-energy arms of traditional automakers also had highlights: BYD's Dynasty and Ocean networks sold 423,843 units in October, staying at the top of the industry; SAIC MG sold over 31,000 NEVs domestically in the month; Denza sold 15,152 and Yangwang 258 units.
The October market showed clear structural divergence rather than a broad rally. On one hand, the market has entered stock competition, consumers still hold cash and wait, and last year's high base makes an industry-wide surge unlikely; on the other, purchase subsidies in many regions, time-limited manufacturer discounts, a wave of new launches and the Golden Week scenario pushed many brands' volumes up quickly.
Overall, October, the traditional Silver October peak, saw leading brands push deliveries higher, but month-on-month trends diverged: Leapmotor, XPeng and Changan Qiyuan rose, while HIMA came under pressure. November begins the year-end volume push, and with year-end promotions there is potential for further demand release.
