On October 13, GAC Hyptec through its official Weibo account released a new OTA upgrade for the Hyptec A800. The official poster showed that this upgrade included eight new function experience upgrades, focusing on "safer driving, more convenient interaction, and more flexible control" in three dimensions. Some of the new features are exclusive to the Smart Luxury Edition. The company also stated that more feature upgrades and optimized experiences can be found on the GAC Hyptec app. The first part focuses on intelligent driving. Campus navigation-assisted parking has been refined: once the vehicle enters a supported campus, the owner can tap an available slot on the SR interface to start parking, and can even step out and let the car park itself, making a complex campus lot much less stressful. The underground parking and navigation experience has also been improved: The display radius for underground parking and roads in the SR has been expanded from 50 meters to 250 meters, making the process of leaving the vehicle and parking more fluid, and making the remote straight driving operation more convenient. In terms of safety, the upgrade has optimized the dynamic risk warning for reversing: It now includes risk warnings for pedestrians and non-motorized vehicles, and when reversing, the system will use a red air wall to indicate the risk, making the dynamic risk warning more intuitive and making reversing into the garage more reassuring. In terms of navigation experience, the upgrade has optimized navigation settings and search experiences, adding four new capabilities: One is that navigation can quickly open the search box during the journey by tapping or dragging the map, allowing for quick addition of waypoints; Two is that during navigation, clicking the overview button can directly enter the waypoint editing page, making route adjustments more flexible; Three is that a bookmark folder for frequently used locations has been added to the map home page, making it convenient to navigate to high-frequency locations with just one click; Four is that a star icon has been added to the bookmarked parking spaces, allowing for quick identification of frequently used parking spaces in the SR interface. The second part focuses on intelligent interaction. The car's in-car system now includes a customizable bottom toolbar for commonly used functions, allowing users to set their own habits, reducing the number of steps to find functions, making daily operations more convenient and intuitive. The third part focuses on intelligent control, with two new features exclusive to the Smart Luxury Edition. One is the addition of the AI-MOTION app: The new AI-MOTION app has been launched, integrating functions such as convenient turning, compass U-turn, and more, reducing the need to search through multiple levels, making operations more convenient — as seen in the official demonstration interface, the app includes control entrances for suspension adjustment, suspension settings, remote control mode, off-road mode, convenient turning, and compass U-turn. The second new feature is convenient turning: It reduces the turning radius of the vehicle during low-speed turning, making it easier to turn in narrow road conditions. The company noted that more feature upgrades and optimized experiences can be found on the GAC Hyptec app; it also mentioned that the current Huawei Qiankun ADS is only an auxiliary driving system and cannot replace driver control, cannot handle all road conditions, weather, and traffic situations, and detailed information on how to operate, precautions, and limitations can be found in the user manual. Drivers should always be vigilant and ready to intervene when using the system, adhering to traffic rules and ensuring safe travel. As a reference, the Hyptec A800 is positioned as a "new luxury smart flagship sedan" and was launched in March 2026 with an official price range of 189,800 to 299,800 RMB. It is equipped with Huawei Qiankun ADS. As a mid-term OTA update, this upgrade concentrated on addressing pain points in high-frequency usage scenarios such as parking, navigation, and control.
