A total of 7,133 Ford recalls some of the imported Explorer rear suspension at risk of corrosion
Recently, Ford Motor (China) Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Administration of Defective Vehicle Product Recall and the Measures for the Implementation of the Regulations on the Administration of Defective Vehicle Product Recall. Recall Lot: Recall Number S2026M0055V: Starting today, 7133 2017-2019 imported Explorer (Parameter | Inquiry) cars manufactured between October 1, 2017 and October 4, 2018 will be recalled. Reason for recall: When some vehicles within the scope of this recall are exposed to a highly corrosive environment in which a large amount of road snow melting agent is used in winter, the ball head of the front beam connecting arm of the rear suspension may be stuck due to severe corrosion of the snow melting agent, resulting in fracture of the connecting arm. Fracture of the front beam connecting arm of the rear suspension will reduce the vehicle's steering control ability, increase the risk of collision, and present safety hazards. Solution: Ford Motor (China) Co., Ltd. will eliminate safety hazards by authorizing dealers to replace the improved rear suspension front beam connecting arms, inspect and adjust the rear wheel front beam free of charge for vehicles within the scope of the recall. This recall is an expanded recall of the Ford Motor (China) Co., Ltd. recall of some imported Ford Explorer vehicles issued on July 8, 2022.
