On October 14, we obtained the official official images of the 2027 Tank 500 in Danxia Red from Great Wall Motor. The vehicle is positioned as a mid-size SUV and is expected to make its debut and start pre-sale on October 16. As a 2027 model, its overall design is largely carried over from the current model, with the addition of the new Danxia Red color option. In terms of other features, it features a large grille with horizontal chrome trim for a sense of luxury. The design inspiration comes from mountains, rivers, and ancient Chinese architecture. From the side, the vehicle uses a mesh wheel design and a roof-mounted luggage rack, paired with chrome trim edges and traditional door handles, creating a good sense of depth. While the rear design was not shown, it is known that the vehicle still features a rear-mounted spare tire, adding to its muscular appearance. In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 5078/1934/1905mm in length, width, and height, respectively, with a wheelbase of 2850mm. It has an approach angle of 29 degrees and a departure angle of 24 degrees, with a minimum ground clearance of 210mm. In terms of auxiliary driving, the current model is equipped with the third-generation auxiliary driving system - Coffee Pilot Ultra, which provides services. The LiDAR comes from Hesai ATX, which has a volume reduction of 60% and a weight reduction of 50% compared to the Hesai AT128 LiDAR used in the PMA, while achieving greater distance detection, better resolution, and wider field of view. In terms of the interior, the vehicle adopts a wrap-around cabin design and features a full-digital instrument cluster and a dual-screen setup (center console and passenger-side entertainment screen) for a strong sense of technology. In terms of other configurations, it features a Dianbi stone center console, 22 speakers (including headrest speakers for the front and rear seats), NAPPA leather, and a rear passenger-side table. In terms of powertrain, the current model offers three versions. The Hi4-T version uses a 2.0T engine, single motor, and 9HAT transmission combination, with a system power output of 310kW and a battery capacity of 37.1kWh, achieving a WLTC cycle pure electric range of 110km, and is equipped with a non-soluble four-wheel drive structure, emphasizing robust off-road performance. The Hi4-Z version, on the other hand, features a 2.0T engine, dual motors, and a 3-speed DHT transmission combination, with a system power output of 635kW and a battery capacity of 59.05kWh, achieving a WLTC cycle pure electric range of 201km, emphasizing all-terrain attributes.
