MINI and Paul Smith’s collaboration began in 1998, with Paul Smith creating the first classic MINI limited edition model, inspired by the color of his blue shirt. In 1999, to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the classic MINI, Paul Smith created a classic MINI with 26 colors and 86 colored stripes. In 2021, the MINI STRIP was unveiled globally, featuring uncoated recycled aluminum bodies and eco-friendly materials like organic silicon and softwood in the interior design. In 2022, Paul Smith transformed the 1998 classic MINI Paul Smith into an electric model, signaling the direction of electric and sustainable design.
Over two decades, the two have continuously explored the integration of automotive design with lifestyle scenarios.
In terms of power, the vehicle is equipped with a BMW B48 2.0T turbocharged engine, delivering 204 horsepower (150 kilowatts) and 300 Newton-meters of torque. It is paired with a 7-speed DCT wet dual-clutch transmission.
