BMW Shenyang Production Base Welcomes the 7 Millionth Offline "New Generation" Platform
Recently, we learned from the official that the BMW Shenyang production base officially ushered in the 7 millionth offline milestone, the offline model is the BMW 3 series (parameter | inquiry) (G28), and the first domestic BMW model that was offline in 2003 was the BMW 3 series codenamed E46. Today, BMW has established a complete system covering vehicle and powertrain manufacturing in China, including localized R&D and localized supply chains. Digitalization and AI run through the entire manufacturing process. It is worth mentioning that BMW is promoting product upgrades based on the "next generation" platform. Combined with previous news, the new BMW iX3 will be put into production and launched in the fourth quarter, which will be the first model based on the exclusive platform of Neue Klasse next generation pure electricity. The exterior of the car adopts a new design style. The dimensions of the car body are 4885/1895/1635mm in length and width, and the wheelbase reaches 3005mm. The interior of the car will be designed with a new-generation wrap-around cockpit. The new car is equipped with a panoramic viewing bridge, a new-generation operating system X, and a horizon panoramic display system. With a 14.9-inch central control screen inclined 17.5 degrees to the driver, the new car forms a full-scene digital interactive experience. In terms of power, the new car is based on the 800V high-voltage architecture and equipped with the sixth-generation BMW eDrive technology. The dual-motor integrated output power is 351kW, matching 108kWh, and the CLTC pure electric range exceeds 900 kilometers.
