The interior of the North American Model Y Entry Edition has been upgraded, and all models come standard with a 16-inch large screen and all-black roof!

Recently, Tesla has released a number of high-end exclusive configurations for the two entry-level models of the Model Y (parameter | inquiry) rear-wheel drive and full-wheel drive versions in the North American market. The whole system is equipped with a 16-inch high-definition central control large screen and an all-black roof lining as standard, completely bridging the core interior gap between the entry-level version and the high-end version. It is understood that this upgrade has officially landed in the new production and delivery of Model Y models in the North American market since June 5. Prior to this, the 16-inch QHD high-definition central control large screen and all-black roof lining were only equipped with the Model Y high-end version. The North American entry-level model continued to use the 15.4-inch central control screen, and the roof was light-colored ordinary lining. There was a clear gap between the interior texture and the sense of technology, which was also the most intuitive distinction between high-end and low-end models. After the decentralization of the configuration, all versions of Model Y sold in the North American market have unified the core hardware standards of the interior. From the specific upgrade details, the 16-inch central control large screen is not only a small increase in screen size compared to the old 15.4-inch screen, but also optimizes the screen resolution and display color, and greatly upgrades the screen clarity and touch accuracy. The larger screen size can better adapt to the audio-visual entertainment, navigation display, vehicle settings and other functions of the Tesla car system, and the split-screen operation field of view is wider, greatly improving the intelligent experience of users' daily vehicles. The new standard all-black roof lining replaces the light-colored roof of the previous entry version, achieving a unified style of all-black interior, effectively weakening the visual clutter in the car, creating a more stable, sophisticated, high-end cockpit atmosphere, and completely improving the cheap appearance of the interior of the entry version, so that the interior of the entire car can be fully aligned with the high-end version. As the main model of Tesla's global sales, the entry-level version of the Model Y in the North American market carries the core task of volume. After this interior upgrade, the two entry-level models achieved a double upgrade of interior texture and technology configuration on the premise that the price remained unchanged, which greatly improved the price/performance ratio of the product. It is worth noting that as of now, Tesla has not officially announced when the interior upgrade plan will land in China, Europe and other overseas markets.
