Lotus has ushered in a new round of OTA upgrades with a new rest mode/car wash mode.
Lotus officially launched a new round of vehicle OTA system update. This upgrade brings a total of 12 updates, including 7 new features, 4 experience optimizations, and 1 exclusive upgrade for ME models. The upgraded models include for ME, Emeya, and Eletre. For ME EMEYA Eletre daily car scene level, rest mode and car wash mode were added to the system. After the vehicle is hooked into the P gear, the user can turn on the rest mode, select the rest position and theme, and the vehicle will link the seat, interior lights and other hardware to complete the rest environment setting at one time. After the car wash mode is turned on, the vehicle will automatically check the window, automatic wiper, charging port cover, air conditioning internal circulation, and lidar status, and synchronously detect the opening and closing status of the cabin cover and trunk before washing, simplifying the preparation process before washing the car. The security of the vehicle has been enhanced, and the remote viewing function of the mobile phone app has been added to Sentinel mode. After the vehicle triggers the Sentinel alarm, the system automatically identifies and uploads videos of high-risk events. The owner can remotely retrieve the recordings through the Lotus Sports Car App, and the mobile phone keeps up to 10 latest records. The car-machine interaction opens up more custom permissions. This time, the on-line steering wheel button customization function is updated, and users can bind HUD adjustment, exterior mirror settings, sound source switching, panoramic images, electric tailgate, automatic parking, and other functions to the steering wheel button. A card component has been added to the desktop of the car. High-frequency functions such as tire pressure, energy consumption, seat comfort control, and audio-visual content support quick access to the desktop. The taskbar layout also supports customization. Up to 6 desktop cards can be set. At the same time, the 3D model of the car and machine supports color DIY customization, and the user can freely adjust the color to match the appearance of the real car. The car and machine desktop is equipped with the "time engine" dynamic effect. After the automatic display mode is turned on, the interface will automatically switch between the five scenarios of dawn, early morning, day, evening and night according to the sunrise and sunset time. The navigation system has been upgraded with the addition of nationwide lane-level navigation. Relying on the video stream of the forward-looking camera to achieve lane-level high-precision positioning, the system provides refined route guidance at high-speed, urban expressway, and complex intersections. When lane-level yaw occurs, the system can re-direct the route faster. At the same time, the navigation support has been optimized with a number of functions, including green wave speed, companion guard, green light countdown, cruise traffic lights, and multi-way intersection traffic lights, and the intelligent broadcast voice mode has been upgraded. The HUD head-up display expands the information display dimension, adding Auto Hold status, gear information, turn signal status, parking lyrics, navigation estimated arrival time, and navigation remaining mileage content projection, enriching the driving information in the front view and reducing the frequency of the driver checking the central control and the instrument. For the for ME model, this OTA is launching an exclusive upgrade. The "Sport +" steering force option has been added to the personalized driving mode. It is specially adjusted by the Lotus engineering team to provide a more damped steering wheel feel, enhance steering feedback and road surface information transmission, and further strengthen the driving texture of the vehicle. This OTA upgrade of Lotus focuses on the daily use of vehicles, vehicle safety, cockpit interaction, navigation and driving, and multi-dimensional display of hardware information to complete function expansion and experience optimization. At the same time, it provides exclusive chassis steering adjustment options for flagship models, and continuously iterates the digital cockpit and vehicle driving related capabilities.
