Overseas sales exceeded 130,000 units, reaching a record 321,123 units sold by the New High BYD Group in April

On May 1, we learned from the BYD brand official that it sold 321,123 units in April, with overseas sales exceeding 130,000 units, a record high. At the same time, the cumulative sales of new energy vehicles exceeded 16.1 million units. Specifically, BYD Dynasty Net and Ocean Net sold 273,448 units; Formula Leopard sold 29,138 units; Tengchi (parameter | inquiry) sold 11,250 units; and Look Up sold 264 units. From January to April this year, BYD Group sold a total of 1021586 units, and 454293 units of passenger cars and pickup trucks were sold overseas. Not long ago, BYD released its financial results for the first quarter of 2026. Its total revenue reached 150.2 billion yuan, with a gross profit margin of 18.8%, and continued to improve from the previous quarter. The attributable net profit reached 4.1 billion yuan. At the same time, the company continued to increase its investment in technology, with R&D expenses of 11.3 billion yuan. Specifically, in the first quarter, BYD Group's new energy vehicle sales reached 700,463 units, of which 84,131 units were sold by Formula Leopard, Tengchi, and Look Up brands, an increase of 60.0% year-on-year. In March, BYD ushered in the 16 millionth new energy vehicle offline. In terms of overseas markets, BYD and its brands sold 319,751 overseas units in the first quarter, an increase of 50.1% year-on-year. In terms of energy replenishment technology, to date, a total of 5,499 lightning charging stations have been built, covering 311 cities. In the field of intelligence, the "Eye of the Gods 5.0" assisted driving system continues to evolve, with more than 2.85 million assisted driving models, ranking first among Chinese car companies, generating an average of 180 million kilometers of data per day, providing a large amount of real-world scene data for algorithm iteration.
