On May 7, we learned from the SAIC-Volkswagen official that ID. ID of the second model in the era sequence. The era sedan is officially named “ID. Era 5S", the first plug-in hybrid smart car of the Volkswagen brand, and the world's first car equipped with urban Noa advanced assisted driving capabilities. The new car is equipped with "Xingyun Intelligent Travel" assisted driving and "Yunqi Intelligent Cabin" intelligent cockpit. Previously, spy photos of the car were exposed, and the car was designed in a sporty style. The front face is similar to the ID.ERA 9X, with a split-type headlight design, the upper part is a through-type daylight, and the center is connected to the Volkswagen brand logo. The lower split headlamp group is integrated with the diversion groove, and an intake grille is provided at the front enclosure. Semi-hidden doorknobs and five-spoke rims can be seen on the side. In terms of power, referring to ID.ERA 9X, which uses an 800V high-voltage platform and is equipped with an EA211 1.5T plug-in hybrid power system, the combined power of the front and rear dual motors can reach 380kW, and the CLTC has a pure electric range of 406km. It is expected that the power reserve of the ID.ERA sedan will not be inferior. At the same time, from the spy photos, it can be seen that the vehicle adopts a lightweight hollowed-out control arm design with a coil spring and a shock absorber structure, which is a typical multi-link rear suspension layout.
