Faithful to the Overseas Design With an All-New Mecha Style: Beijing Hyundai's New Elantra Filing Images
Recently, we saw the filing images of the all-new Beijing Hyundai Elantra on the MIIT website. The China-built model carries over the design of the overseas version. It is the eighth-generation Elantra and adopts a brand-new multi-faceted exterior design built on sharp lines and three-dimensional surfaces.
In terms of appearance, the new Elantra adopts the "Steel Art" design language, featuring a wide-body layout, fine LED headlights, a closed front grille to enhance its technological attributes, and improved recognizability.
In terms of dimensions, the new Elantra has a length, width, and height of 4765/1855/1425mm, with a wheelbase of 2750mm, consistent with the overseas model. Compared to the previous generation, the length increased by 45mm, the width by 45mm, and the height by 10mm, while the wheelbase increased by 30mm. This has resulted in a comprehensive optimization of the interior space.
The body side emphasizes a muscular visual effect, equipped with 16-inch and 17-inch wheels.
The rear design echoes the front, featuring a full-width LED taillight that matches the headlight design, with a strong visual impact from multi-layered surface structures.
Referencing the interior design of the overseas model, the cabin features a 14.6-inch floating central control screen, equipped with an Android-based Pleos Connect car infotainment system. It is equipped with an AI large language model, supporting the display of driving information, multimedia entertainment, and human-machine interaction.
The vehicle is also equipped with Bang & Olufsen audio system, wireless charging, and other hardware configurations.
The new model supports city and highway driving assistance, featuring features such as memory parking and remote parking.
In terms of power, the new model only offers a gasoline variant, featuring a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine with a maximum power output of 84.5kW, consistent with the current model, with no change in power output, and a top speed of 191km/h.
