The "civilian GT3" has released a manual version of the 911 Carrera S for Porsche.
Recently, Porsche released the official map of the manual version of the 911 Carrera S. Previously, the modified 911 Carrera S only launched an 8-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission, which regretted many fans. Under the voice of users, Porsche re-launched the 6-speed manual version of the Carrera S, and the configuration was exclusive to the North American market, named the 911 Carrera S MT suite version. It is expected to start delivery by the end of 2026, with the hardtop version starting at $169,450 (about 1.142,800 yuan) and the open-top version starting at $183,350 (about 1.236,500 yuan). This new car is positioned in the 992.2 generation 911 product line, which is equivalent to the Carrera T compared to the basic Carrera, for users who want a higher sense of driving participation, but the budget is not enough to support GT3 Touring, filling the market gap left by the cancellation of the manual Carrera GTS after the previous hybridization, which can be regarded as the "civilian GT3". The new logo features a 4-way adjustable Sport Seats Plus sports seat, titanium rows, SportDesign front enclosure, exclusive red “S” logo on the rear, a checkered fabric seat with chalk stitching and seat belt, a walnut shift handle in the same style as the Carrera T, and an optional welcome light with a 6-speed shift pattern, a carbon fiber bucket chair, and a ceramic composite brake system, which is not available on the regular Carrera T. In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a 3.0T twin-turbo non-hybrid horizontal opposed six-cylinder engine with a maximum power of 353kW. Only the rear-wheel drive version is available, and there is no four-wheel drive version. Porsche did not even announce an official acceleration score for the car, apparently prioritizing driving pleasure over extreme performance data entirely by product definition. The upgrade of the MT kit goes far beyond replacing the manual transmission: the new car is equipped with a rear wheel steering system, a sports suspension that can lower the body by 10mm, and exclusive exhaust adjustment. The manual Carrera S is only 1509kg, only 5kg heavier than the Carrera T, but the power output is 67kW higher, and the power-to-weight ratio is quite impressive.
