On May 14, the official map of Dongfeng Yi M8 (parameter | inquiry) was released, and the new car was positioned as a six-seat medium and large SUV, offering two power options: pure electric and extended range. Among them, the pure electric version adopts an 800V architecture, equipped with a 4C battery, and the CLTC can last up to 600km; the pure electric battery of the extended range version can last up to 300km. The new car will debut in late May and is expected to be officially launched in the third quarter. Looking at the official map, the appearance of the Dongfeng Yi school M8 adopts the split-type headlamp design popular for new energy, with the through-type headlamp above and the diurnal lights on the left and right sides distributed below. It has a semi-hidden door handle on the side, a silver chrome finish around the side window, and a large size cake rim, the overall proportion is coordinated, which is quite visually impactful. The rear of the car uses through taillights, and there is a high brake light at the top of the rear door. According to the previous declaration information, Dongfeng Yi Pure Electric M8 is consistent with the body size of the extended range version. In terms of dimensions, the new car has a length, width and height of 5020/1975/1733mm, a wheelbase of 3025mm, and a standard three-row six-seater layout. In terms of intelligent configuration, Dongfeng Yipai M8 has already announced that it is equipped with Huawei Qiankun smart car solutions, covering the five smart technologies of Qiankun intelligent driving, Hongmeng cockpit, Qiankun vehicle control, Qiankun vehicle cloud and whale fin communication. As a reference, Dongfeng Yipai M8 will be the first in the world to carry Huawei Qiankun to drive ads 5 Pro, and the intelligent driving assistance experience will reach a new level. At the hardware level, Dongfeng Yipai M8 has the support of CATL, Bosch, ZF, Fuyao and other top global supply chains. In terms of power, it provides two sets of solutions: pure electricity and extended range, with a peak power of 230kW for the pure-board motor; the extended range version is equipped with an extended range system consisting of a 1.5T engine + motor, with a maximum power of 95kW and a maximum net power of 90kW for the engine; and the peak power of the drive motor is 215kW.
