Recently, we obtained the application images of the high-power version of the Leapmotor A05 from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. A low-power version of the A05 was previously submitted for approval; this high-power variant still uses a single motor but with higher output. The new vehicle is positioned as a small SUV.

In terms of exterior design, the Leapmotor A05 adopts the design language of the A-series models, equipped with lens headlights, air vents at the lower section, and air ducts on both sides. The new car still offers an optional LiDAR for its advanced driver-assistance system.
In terms of dimensions, the new vehicle measures 4200mm in length, 1800mm in width, and 1560mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2605mm, and features a 5-seat layout. The rear end retains the smiling-face-shaped taillights and a large rear tailgate for convenient cargo access.
In terms of powertrain, the Leapmotor A05 is equipped with a motor produced by Huzhou Lingsheng Power Technology Co., Ltd., with a maximum power of 90 kW, compared to 70 kW for the previous entry-level version. The top speed remains 160 km/h. It continues to use lithium iron phosphate batteries supplied by two vendors: Hubei EVE Power Co., Ltd. and Lingxiao Energy Technology (Wuyi) Co., Ltd.
