The new Tesla Roadster with SpaceX propulsion kit is delayed until October 16.
Recently, Tesla officials said that due to the weather, the new Tesla Roadster will be delayed until October 15 (Beijing time on October 16). At present, only the details of the trailer have been released, and the core information such as the interior, battery, and complete appearance have not been disclosed. Officially set target, vehicle 0-60 mph acceleration time will be within 2 seconds. The new-generation Roadster first released a prototype in November 2017. It was originally planned to achieve mass production delivery in 2020, but the release time has changed several times. It is reported that Tesla has recently completed the registration of two new trademarks for this model, the listing process has continued to advance, and the new car has entered the actual test stage. It is worth mentioning that the vehicle is expected to be equipped with a cool air propulsion system jointly developed by Tesla and SpaceX and internally code-named A71. This unit consists of multiple sets of high-pressure gas nozzles and does not require fuel combustion. According to Musk's vision, the equipment is arranged in the traditional rear seat position, relying on the spraying of high-pressure gas, which can assist in strengthening the acceleration performance, optimizing the overturning ability under extreme working conditions, and even realize the idea of the car body being temporarily off the ground. In terms of performance, the new car is planned to launch a general basic version, as well as a limited special version with a SpaceX propulsion kit. The new car uses an aggressive aerodynamic design to optimize the downforce of the vehicle. Officially set target, vehicle 0-60 mph acceleration time will be within 2 seconds.
