All-electric four-door GT models with three motors exceeding 1000 horsepower! Jaguar's new flagship naming Type 01
Recently, Jaguar officially announced that its new luxury all-electric four-door GT model is officially named Type 01. Carrying the brand's mission of rejuvenation and paying tribute to the legendary classic model, this new work is equipped with an exclusive pure electric architecture and three-motor system, with a combined power of more than 1000 horsepower. The camouflaged prototype will be unveiled to the public during the Formula E Monaco station event, and is scheduled to be launched in September. The new model is named Type 01, and each character has a deep meaning. The classic "Type" logo is derived from the Jaguar legendary model lineage. It can be traced back to the C-Type car that won the Le Mans race in 1951. Subsequent classic models such as the E-Type and F-Type have continued this logo. The "0" in the number "01" symbolizes that the whole vehicle uses pure electric drive to achieve zero exhaust emissions and adhere to the concept of new energy and environmental protection; "1" means that the car is the first creation of Jaguar's new development era. The whole vehicle has been designed, developed and produced in the UK. At the same time, the Type 01 exclusive logo is arranged on the decorative strip at the junction of the nacelle cover and the front windshield, with a tough linear design, which will become the iconic design language of future Jaguar models. In terms of the body size of the production version of the hypothetical drawing, according to the previous information, the length, width and height of the car are estimated to be 5235/2220/1395mm, and the wheelbase is 3200mm. In the power section, the new car will be built based on Jaguar JEA's pure electric exclusive architecture. It adopts a three-motor four-wheel drive system with a combined maximum power of 746kW and peak torque of 1300 Nm. The 0-100km/h acceleration takes only 3.3 seconds and is equipped with a 120kWh battery pack. The WLTP range can reach 700km. In addition, the new car will be equipped with an all-wheel steering system, a dual-cavity air suspension, and a torque vector control system.
