The 2026 Paris International Motor Show officially kicked off on October 12, and Audi unveiled its newly launched compact electric vehicle, the Audi A2 e-tron, as its entry-level pure electric model. Produced at Audi's headquarters in Ingolstadt, Germany, the car will begin deliveries in December. According to previous reports, the German market starting price is €38,200 (approximately RMB 298,000). In terms of its exterior design, the car takes inspiration from the 1999 first-generation A2. With a higher overall height, sharp-edged lines, and a sloping roof, it offers good visual recognizability. Additionally, the closed front grille paired with the side elongated headlights slightly enhances the vehicle's recognizability. From the side, the car features a distinctive door design and comes equipped with a five-spoke aerodynamic wheel design. The core design concept of the Audi A2 e-tron focuses on maximizing space utilization while maintaining practicality for daily use. Its wheelbase is 2,770 mm. Audi has invested heavily in aerodynamics, and with the optional aerodynamic package, the car's coefficient of drag can be as low as 0.24. Notably, the rear cargo door continues the signature split window structure of the initial model. In terms of the interior, it adopts a wrap-around cabin design and comes standard with a 11.9-inch digital instrument panel and a 12.8-inch central touchscreen. High-end models offer a heads-up display system, equipped with the "Audi Connect" entertainment system, and comfort features include heated steering wheels and front seats with heating and memory functions. The audio system offers three versions: 7 speakers, 8 speakers, and 15 speakers from the Sonos premium audio system, with a maximum power output of 660 watts. The speakers near the C pillar create a surround sound experience. In terms of safety, the car offers adaptive cruise control, front and rear emergency braking assistance, and other features. In terms of power, the car features a rear-mounted single-motor setup, with four power versions available, with maximum power outputs of 125 kW, 140 kW, 170 kW, and 240 kW. The peak torque of the top-tier model is 545 N·m, while the rest have a peak torque of 350 N·m. The vehicle's battery pack will be available in three versions: 50 kWh, 58 kWh, and 79 kWh, with the highest WLTC range under these conditions being 646 km.
